I’m all set for two BBC sessions in one week!

This week sees me making my first visit to broadcasting house in London for a live interview with Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music - and in the same week I’m heading up to MediaCityUK in Salford to play a session for “The Verb” on BBC Radio 3. HUZZAH!

Friday 29th January @ 10pm - The Verb on BBC Radio 3

On Friday I’m heading up to Salford to record a session on “The Verb”. That's in the BBC Radio 3 studio with Lukas Drinkwater. That’s going to be plugged in - all the instruments and the loop pedals, and I’m really looking forward to it!

While I’m there I’m going to mostly be a) talking about the relationship between poetry and folk music and b) trying to scope out Jon Lewis’s desk to see if the Folk Award nomination slips are on it yet ;)

That'll be on air Friday night at 10pm, and you can listen online too:

Saturday 30th January @ 9:30pm - Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music

... and then on Saturday night at 9:30pm I’ll be LIVE on air with Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music broadcasting from London.

Tom Robinson is a great supporter of new music - he’s also a fabulous musician. His new album has none other than Sir Ian McKellen (yes - Gandalf and Magneto!) singing backing vocals… AMAZING!

Tom was introduced to my music fairly recently by the lovely Steve Knightley (thank you Steve!) - Tom, Steve and Martyn Joseph used to perform together as “Faith, Folk & Anarchy” so I’m really looking forward to talking to Tom about my journey so far while he picks his favourite tracks from my back catalogue (oh my word that’s a surreal sentence to write!).

That chat is going to be live - so it would be great if you fancy listening in, and even better if you'd like to let Tom know that you are :)
