Recording 'The Lament of the Black Sheep' ~ Day 14 in the studio

You may have noticed I didn't blog last night, I was feeling a little poorly. I suffer from IBS which can be triggered by all sorts of things, food types, stress, anxiety, excitement, anticipation etc. Yesterday was a peak in my journey as I laid down the last of the vocal tracks and finished recording my album, a whole number of things left me feeling quite drained and quite poorly so I had myself an early night and am very relieved to have woken up feeling refreshed and a lot better.

So, today we edit ...frantically!

As we now only have 3 days to edit and mix all 14 tracks the pressure is on and the job seems almost impossible but we WILL do it, with the genius that is Olly my incredible sound engineer beside me I know we can crack this. We just have to not waste time doing trivial things like eating, drinking, toilet breaks and breathing if it saves time! (although it may be necessary at times)

I am at the B&B for the whole week and being away from home is hard but I just want to give a little shout out to my husband as being home was even harder for him yesterday as he single handedly looked after our toddler and our daughter (10) who was suffering extreme sickness from 1.30 am until 6, (when the toddler got up) took the toddler to preschool, cleaned the house and comforted our little girl while responding to emails and finishing my inlay artwork!

...HERO.

Right, must run, time to Studioooo :-)
