Saturday 3rd October 2015 from 16:00 ends Sunday 18th October until 22:30
In October 2015, at 14 intimate concert venues along the route of The Coleridge Way, award winning folk musicians Ange Hardy and Lukas Drinkwater present an exquisite evening of original music inspired by the life and work of the romantic poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
Featuring songs inspired by Coleridge’s relationships with friends, family and acquaintances, verses of his poetry set to music, new songs inspired by his characters and stories, and even tales based on fragments of his dinner table conversations.
The tour starts on October 3rd just across the road from Coleridge Cottage in Nether Stowey, and ends on October 18th in the Lynmouth Pavilion.
All venues have a licensed bar. Afternoon workshops start between 4pm and 4:30pm and will last about 90 minutes. The evening concerts start at 7:30pm, consisting of two 45 minute halves.
The tour broadly follows the route of The Coleridge Way.
At the heart of folk music is a tradition of passing on knowledge and sharing our heritage. In the light of this Ange is running 7 afternoon workshops during this tour. These will run from 4pm and last approximately 90 minutes.
During these workshops Ange will provide additional insight into the processes behind her songwriting for this project, there will be the opportunity to work collectively or individually on exploring new song and project ideas, and time to ask Ange any questions about the project and songwriting in general.
Workshop places are extremely limited (we want to keep the groups small!) and can be booked along with tickets.
Workshops will be suitable for all ages.
The workshops are being held at:
