After bursting fully formed onto the folk scene in 2013 with her debut folk album “Bare Foot Folk” Ange Hardy went on to be awarded FATEA Magazine’s prestigious ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ receiving airplay from Mark Radcliffe on BBC Radio2, The Mike Harding Folk show, BBC Somerset, and dozens of radio stations across the UK, USA, Ireland, Canada and Australia.

Where “Bare Foot Folk” was about Ange Hardy stripping everything back to her roots “The Lament of the Black Sheep” is about exploring the surrounding soil. These are songs of heritage, stories of working the land, tales deeply rooted in the traditions of rural life and West Somerset.

Ange’s mesmerising combination of story telling and delicate guitar work is given a contemporary twist through her exceptional use of ‘live looping’. Ange stands with a digital tape recorder at her feet that allows her to record and instantly play-back what she is singing. The effortlessness with which she builds layers of perfect harmonies in front of your eyes is absolutely captivating.

This is a one-off evening that’s not to be missed! An incredible collection of talented guest musicians will be variously singing their own songs and joining Ange on stage for her own.
