Comfort zone
It's strange how easy it is too forget to live! I spent way to much of my life worrying about what other people thought of me, molding myself around those I admired, I always took every comment to heart and read too much into everything. So to keep myself from failing, I just didn't try anything! I soon found out that sometimes you've just gotta jump in with both feet even if you do end up flat on your face, it's better than not moving at all!
Lyrics
There she sat, day after day
looking into the bars of her cadge
in the sun they turned a golden blue
and it made her wish she had a different view.
She dreamed of a sky that wasn't painted gray
dreamed of the freedom for which she had prayed.
Then she looked around at her comfort zone
and she listened to the voices that said this was her home
but she found no comfort in a stone for her head
and going to the toilet on a pan by her bed.
It's time she broke free
opened up her eyes to see
that there's no reason why,
this girl shouldn't fly.
The bars keep you safe from a new point of view
but when you're locked away, you're still not safe from you
and when the boredom hits you soon realize
that there's so much more to be seen by your eyes.
How can you fear what you've never had
taking a risk isn't always bad.
So then she broke free from her comfort zone
and she told all the voices she's not happy at home
now she looks to the sky and sees the stars at night
opened her arms to embrace a new life.
She's broken free
this is how it had to be
she's found himself a home,
this girl has flown.
