"We run a storytelling festival and as soon as I heard Ange’s songs I knew we ought to book her. She came along to the festival with her family, and sang like an angel. What a delightful guest!" - Genevieve Tudor, Festival at The Edge

A short testimonial from the Sark Folk Festival committee regarding their 2015 booking of Ange:

We are so happy and proud to have counted Ange Hardy as one of our performers at Sark Folk Festival 2015.

Ange is an incredible musician and person. None of us had ever met her before, but along with her husband and sound engineer Rob (who is equally brilliant - pay him a fee!), they went above and beyond the call of duty at our festival, bonding with our volunteers (there was a wedding album involved!), praising the performances of local artists and even coming and having a drink with us after it was all over to give us a pat on the back. Our organising team are very proud of our festival and works hard to make it better each year, so none of us like artists who turn up and act like they're only there because we paid them (even though they are!). Ange could not have acted less like this - she is a very generous and gracious woman.

Ange is also an astounding musicican and deserves all the excitement she is generating. Her music has the uncanny ability to be both mystical and down-to-earth and it comes from a very personal place. Watching Ange, you cannot be mistaken about how much she cares about her music and the things that inspire her incredible songs - stories she's heard, her family, her own personal history and traditional music. And this is before I've even started on the amazing stuff she does with the loop pedal, layering harmony upon harmony to create something so beautiful, she had a queue of people lining up to talk to her after her set finished.

Ange is a rare blend of professionalism, humanity and exceptional talent. She's an asset to any festival. She also has two young kids at home and as a result, has to choose the festivals she wants to do very carefully. If she's chosen yours, you should be very honoured, as we were, and bite her hand off!
